Ice Storm

by Ashley g.

The ice storm was scary.
The ground looked hairy.
There was sheets of sparkling white ice and snow.
Buildings had icycles dangling down dripping & dropping.
Driveways looked like a sheet of glass.
The ice was so thick that I ice skated so fast.
I fell down and the ice stung.
There was no school because the roads were icy.
The bus would slip and slide.
The power went out .
So we talked and talked.
Then I looked outside at the beautiful sparkling ice.
Then I went to bed.
This is what I said:
"Cold snow hard ice
you are nice
you bring laughter and joy to the world.
When you are gone
we sing a song.
Good bye
see you next year!
Until than we will still have laughter cheer."
