Why Should A Teacher Obtain a CyberJourneys Passport?
This site is the web compliment to our new book, "Scribes Online." The book and web site together create an electronic writing space where kids learn to write stories online. The book is targeted for students in grades 4-6 but don't be shy about entering if your students are younger or older. The same good rules of writing apply no matter the age of your students. So, why should you fill out the passport? When you step inside the Scribes writing pod, your students will be building stories in their own private writing space or writing POD. They will collect many notes and ideas while writing and we need to keep their story, notes and ideas together. The passport gives us the information that we need to keep all their hard work together in their private writing PODS. While this book in the Scribes series is targeted for students ages 10-12, other books will follow for the other students in age 7-18 age range. The CyberJourneys series is not only about writing. The current release also includes great books and web sites about math, science, social studies and cyber design. Click on our CyberJourneys logo anytime you want to learn more about the other books associated with this series. Since one CyberJourneys passport works for all the books in the series, you only need to fill out this passport once to sample all of the cool activities taking place inside the other web sites associated with this book series. So, please take two minutes to fill out the passport. Ready to register? Scribe Teachers: Enter the passport center through the Teacher doorway. The Passport Center home page will appear in this window. Click on "I am a teacher." Fill out all the information on the passport. You or your school Administrator must register the school. Once the school is registered on the Beaumont site, create a class for your students. We recommend completing this registration process before you ask your students to apply for their passports. When you have "submitted" the passport and it has been accepted, you will be returned to the Scribes Teacher home page. School Site Coordinator: Enter the passport center through the Administrator doorway. The Passport Center home page will appear in this window. Click on "I am an administrator." Fill out all the information on the passport. Once the school is registered on the Beaumont site, your teachers can create "classes" for their students. When you have "submitted" the passport and it has been accepted, you will be returned to the Scribes Teacher home page. While you are browsing our web site, remember to visit the CyberJourneys home page and the Beaumont online book store to learn how you can obtain the Scribes Online Student books and teacher editions.
