Why Should A Student Obtain a CyberJourneys Passport?

Hello! I'm Isaac, a cyberfriend that is always here to help guide you around our web site. Congratulations on finding our passport area, especially if you are a student reading the Scribes Online student book. Welcome also If you are a kid or adult surfer who happened by our web site and now wants to learn about and explore Scribes Online.

This site is the web compliment to our new book, "Scribes Online." The book and web site together create an electronic writing space where kids learn to write stories online. The book is targeted for students in grades 4-6 but don't be shy about entering if you are younger or older. The same good rules of writing apply no matter your age.

So, why should you fill out the passport? When you step inside the Scribes writing pod, you will be building your stories in your own private writing space. You will collect many notes and ideas while writing and we need to keep your story, notes and ideas together. The passport gives us the information that we need to keep all your hard work together in your private writing pods. While this book in the Scribes series is targeted for students ages 10-12, other books will follow for the other students in grades K-12.

The CyberJourneys series is not only about writing. The current release also includes great books and web sites about math, science, social studies and cyber design. Click on our CyberJourneys logo anytime you want to learn more about the other books associated with this series.

Since one CyberJourneys passport works for all the books in the series, you only need to fill out this passport once to sample all of the cool activities taking place inside any of the web sites asociated with this book series. So, please take two minutes to fill out the passport.

Ready to register?

Scribe Students: Click on the passport center doorway when you are ready to register. The Passport Center application will appear in this window. Fill out all the information on the passport. Select "choose a class." Find your classroom, point and click. If your classroom is not listed, consult your teacher.You will be taken back to the Scribes web site automatically. click "Enter" to begin exploring the site. Remember to write your login and password in a safe place. Also remember to go back to chapter one of the Scribes Online Student book where you will continue to learn how to use our web site.

Web Student Visitors: Ask your teacher or parent for permission to obtain a passport for our site. Click on the passport center doorway when you are ready to register. Fill out all the information on the passport. Do not choose a class. You will be returned to the student web site front door automatically. Enter the site.

While you are browsing our web site, remember to ask your teacher or parent to visit the CyberJourney home page and the Beaumont online book store to learn how they can obtain the Scribes Online Student book. No one can experience the full cyber journey without the book.
