Create Web Pages Using Word 

Creating a Page in Word is easy. Just click on File / New/ then on the Web Page tab. You can either use one of the templates or create one yourself.. To use a template:

  Follow the online directions of the wizard. 

Then Highlight text and…. 

Type some text -----Replace it with your own.. 

  To View it click on File/ Web Page Preview or (the Icon in the button bar with a globe and spy glass). 

 

To create links to information on your page --.. 

  Highlight the text you want to be linked. 

 Click on the button with the globe and chain.

 Type in the URL (internet address) or document name you want to link to. If you don't know where it is use "browse" to help you locate the file.

  

To create a web page yourself, click on the "Blank Web Page": 

  Use any document you have created ….. 

Then go to File/ Save as and…. 

Be sure the file type is "HTML Document"  

And you are putting it in the "Htm Folder" you made previously …. 

Then Click on Save. 

To View it click on File/ Web Page Preview or (the Icon in the button bar with a globe and spy glass). 

 

WebMeister Activity -- Work on creating at least 3 different pages for your school website.

Now go here to Write a letter to your School asking for permission to help with designing the school's Web Page!

Don't forget to fill out today's Journal entry!
